The New GMAT Test Selection Order
Great news for all potential GMAT candidates, the GMAC group (owners of the GMAT TEST) on the 11th of July 2017 launched a new feature the SELECT SECTION ORDER on the GMAT TEST.
The Select Section Order allows candidates to choose the order in which they complete the four sections of the GMAT exam. Three options will be available to them at the test center:
- Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, Verbal (which used to be the original & only order)• Verbal, Quantitative, Integrated Reasoning, Analytical Writing Assessment• Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, Analytical Writing Assessment.
This additional choice simply gives candidates more control and flexibility to take the GMAT exam based on their strengths, testing and preferences i.e. you can write the exams in order of increasing or decreasing strength or weakness. If your strength lies in the calculations then you can start with the third order and if it’s in grammar the second order would be more viable. There is no “correct” or “recommended” section order to select.
